Amit and his team have been doing ground breaking work in the handloom (हथकरघा) industry. They are testing various ingenious business models to create an economically viable model in an otherwise struggling industry. Right from improvising the handloom machine to training new weavers to evaluating new business models to pilot testing new sales and procurement channels to job creations in an otherwise declining industry, his team has been pioneering various innovative models and institutionalizing new process in an otherwise unorganized and fragmented sector. He is also Young JAINA Awardee of 2005 and is an ardent and dedicated social worker. He received in M. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and has completed CFA Level II and is working as a senior consultant in with Deloitte Consulting.
